A brief history of RIRICo. and our works
18 YEARS EXPERIENCE
The construction of RIRICo. factory started on March 2003 in an area of 53 Hectares in Zanjan Province, 17 Km to Abhar city, and it was inaugurated on January 2009. The factory was founded under the direct investment of Iran Khodro (the car producer leader of the Middle East), but in March, 2010 it was totally sold to Iranian Transport Development holding company. The factory officially started its production by manufacturing a rail bus project.
THE PROGRESS
In addition to our existing rail bus production project, as well as the designing and manufacturing of metro cars, we have the capability of producing passenger coaches, freight wagons and monorails. The factory has potentially the capacity to overhaul, maintain and repair coaches, wagons and Locomotives, too.
RIRICo. production line utilizes new equipment and machinery such as Welding Robot, CMM, Bogie press and test as well as modern and flexible jigs and fixtures which form the most complete and modern production line in Iranian rail industries.
The very first design of a complete metro car and consequently production of that will occur in RIRICo. soon. It means the first Iranian-made metro car will have RIRICo. brand.
History
RRICo. officially commenced its production line in 2007 in Zanjan province of Iran. RIRICo. factory is built in an area of 530 thousands Square Meters in Zanjan province, Iran.
In the first phase of developments, 46 thousands Square Meters of Under Roof Area has been constructed & equipped with state of the art machinery for design, manufacturing and testing of various rolling stocks. RIRICo. combines experienced engineers and managers alongside young engineers and have been able to form a dynamic and modern rolling stock manufacturing facility in the Middle East.
RIRICo. designs & manufactures various types of rolling stocks such as passenger coaches, metro cars, Diesel Multiple Units (RailBus DMU), various freight wagons and bogies in accordance with UIC standards. Moreover, RIRICo rolling stock design & engineering team, expertise and experience of engineers, production team and its domestic and international supply chain give it the capability to provide high performance refurbishment, overhaul and upgrading/renovation services for passenger coaches and locomotives either at RIRICo. facilities or at client remises.
RIRICo. is now one of the most leading manufacturing companies in the Middle East with production capacity of 100 passenger coaches, 200 freight cars and 1000 bogies. RIRICo. is aiming to become the 1st choice manufacturer & supplier of rolling stocks in Iran.
