Bogie

Bogie can be considered as the most sensitive part of a rail car which is interface between rails and wagons. This part by absorbing vibrations and minimizing the impact forces provides a simple and secure travel for a rail car.

Therefore because of high sensitivity in safety and comfort of passengers, exact methods and advanced equipment for manufacturing and testing is required.

In the past there were no investigations in country to bogies production and usually required bogies were completely purchased from technology holder companies with high costs.

After setting up the bogie production line and equipping it with highly advanced equipment such as
1- Welding robot with 12 DOF
2- two arm dimensions control machine CMM
3- Load test ( Bogie Press)
4- Special fixtures
5- Precise tools
6- various types of machines and etc.

Carbody and Underframe

Carbody and underframe shop has an area of over 10 thousand square meters totally. According to defined missions, this shop is equipped to produce carbody of passenger cars, subways, freight wagons and locomotives.

The infrastructure sector has been equipped with variety of equipment such as up to 40 ton cranes, compressed air network, advanced welding machines and in special sector with special jigs and fixtures, mobile lifting jigs, soundproof rooms for straightening, Inspection hole and etc.

Two production lines were located in this shop including railbus carbody production line and high sided wall freight Car production line and according to development plan this shop will be equipped for metro car production.

Since the main processes in this hall including the welding operations do have different grades and positions, therefore all welders have technical associate degree education and all are certified by reputable welding specialists and to maintain and enhance the ability of the partners, different Welding training courses and different examinations are held periodically.

Jig and fixtures in this shop have capability of flexible manufacturing so that they are capable to produce several types of underframes side walls, ceilings and final assembly in different dimensions. Final assembly fixture in this shop is capable of producing a variety of cars including carbody with 2 floors.

Final Assembly

Final assembly of the cars, including the installation and assembly of decorative parts, electrical systems, ventilation, lighting, compressed air propulsion, braking systems and …

Due to the different nature of these operations compared with manufacturing operations in other shops, significant differences can be seen in this shop. For example, different flooring, lighting, compressed air networks and … along with the delicate assembly operations have been designed and implemented.

The floor area is more than 5 thousand square meters which is equipped with a variety of different equipment such types of advanced elevators, compressed air network, and overhead crane and… .

In order to achieve the highest level of quality in assembly operations, the entire fixtures are elected from the prestigious European brands such as Atlas Copco, and Bush and ….

Production layout in this shop is based on Fixed-Position Combination Layouts, hence, the Carbody is placed in an specified location and teams do different operations on carbody according to priorities and carbody remains at the station until completion.

Paint Shop

RIRICo. Company’s paint shop was built in a land area of 3196 square meters In order to perform all the steps to prepare and paint in rail industry. This shop includes a semi-automatic shot blasting booth for preparation and 3 booths equipped with furnaces to a temperature of 80 ° C and air-dry system for coating and drying paint.

Cabins are severable and have the advantage of using as two smaller cabins. Therefore for painting wagons smaller than 15 meters it is possible for 6 wagons to be painted simultaneously.

Each cabin is equipped with 4 manlifts with ability to move in all three axes X, Y and Z so that operator has access to all parts of the body and roof of wagon. Cabin is designed with anti explosion electrical systems to minimize risks to personnel.

Due to locating three different filter types in the air outlet, entry of contaminated air into the environment is minimized.

Paint shop is also equipped with a mixing room for storing materials and preparing them, 2 removable lifters, and especial fans for ventilation.

According to paint shop facilities and skilled personnel, the company has the ability to prepare and paint all types of wagons, bogies and their related parts with best quality.
